INTERLINK Admission Policy

INTERLINK admits students to its programs who have successfully completed high school with a C+ or better GPA and who have at least some knowledge of English. Students are expected to have a basic vocabulary, understand very simple oral language and be able to write simple sentences in English. Students with low level skills are required to submit a writing sample. Students who have successfully completed at least a) one year of English as part of their school studies or b) one course at a language institute or c) have other acceptable English experience are eligible for admission. There is no minimum or maximum age for students, although graduation from high school is required, and most students in our program are in their 20's. Because heterogeneity in background helps the learning environment, we try to limit the number of students from any given country at each center. In order to achieve first language and country-of-origin diversity, we may ask prospective students to attend a different INTERLINK center or delay enrollment. INTERLINK does not limit total enrollment although campus resources dictate different capacities at our various centers (currently ranging from 60-110). To insure quality instruction, class sizes are limited (12 for R/W classes and 15 for C/S classes) regardless of program size. Applicants are required to disclose any criminal charges against them and such charges may disqualify them from admission if so dictated by federal, state or campus regulations.
